A fourth-generation South
Dakotan, Nyla Griffith lives in
Deadwood with her husband,
Tom. Lucky Strike, inspired by
her love of Deadwood's eclectic
history, is her first novel.
Ms. Griffith began writing fiction
short stories while in school and
has written historical non-fiction
articles for Deadwood Magazine.
An amateur photographer, her
photographs have appeared in
Deadwood Magazine and various
other publications, including the
Los Angeles Times. She enjoys
traveling with her husband, who is a well-published travel writer and riding her Harley-Davidson motorcycle through the quiet beauty of the Black Hills.
